How to console mothers who suffer miscarriage?

leave a comment »

Miscarriages happen in ~15-20% of all known pregnancies.
This figure is higher if unrecognized pregnancies are included, up to 50-60%.
The loss occurs so early that many miscarriages are passed off as a "delayed period".

Losing a pregnancy is always heartbreaking.
It is like the loss of a loved one.

"I am so sorry for the loss of your baby".

Do not say these:
"You can always have another baby"
"It was just miscarriage"
