GEPIK: Gyeonggi English Program in Korea

Official Program Objective: “Gyeonggi English Program in Korea (GEPIK) is a flaghip initiative of GPOE as a driving force for achieving dynamic and quality English education in our schools by inviting young and educated individuals from English speaking countries.”

Program Eligibility: University graduates holding a Bachelor’s degree.

Program Duration: Varies according to the scholarship acquired.

Cost: None. Salary is 2.0-2.3 million KRW/month.

This is a governmentally-sponsored teach-English-in-Korea opportunity. Specifically, it arranges teaching locums for schools in Gyeonggi province, the “countryside” outside of Seoul.
Only nationals of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa are eligible to be teachers in this program.
